This program is an experiential journey into mindfulness and a clear path to learning how to engage in embodied meditative practices in your life as a gifted adult. It is ideal for those who want to learn how to slow down (in a gifted-friendly way!), develop gifted-sensitive approaches to mindfulness to support their intensity and complexity, get in deeper touch with their gifted selves, and embody new possibilities for authentic self-expression and connection.
Originally our Foundations program, this journey has been carefully crafted over almost a decade to weave ancient wisdom traditions, modern psychology and gifted/neurocomplex experience in ways that are relevant to the gifted journey. It is led by GMC founder Kelly Pryde, PhD as a deep dive into the LACE and FLOW frameworks she has developed as transformative pathways for gifted living at this time in our world.
Through six bi-weekly live group gatherings, we co-create a compassionate space to explore:

-
cultivating core skills for supporting your gifted intensity, complexity and entelechy (aka drive)...
-
finding a groundedness of attention & presence in a mindbody that is pulling you in myriad directions
-
disentangling the complexity of your inner experience to find spaciousness and ease
-
meeting all the parts of your gifted self–the bright, the dark, and the unfiltered–with kindness & care
-
-
navigating challenging territories of the inner critic, perfectionism, boredom, and existential gripping
-
attuning to the depths of your gifted being, creativity & aliveness through embodied imagination
-
restoring interpersonal connection and gifted psychological visibility–being seen, heard, understood and appreciated in the fullness of your unique expression–through deep listening and relational mindfulness
-
integrating embodied mindfulness into your everyday life as a gifted adult
Story, poetry, music, movement, art and nature are woven throughout to enliven the range of your intelligences and to restore the poetic nature of mindfulness beyond the conditionings of our ego-dominant culture. You will leave this program with a wide range of embodied mindfulness practices and tools that you can tailor to support you on your unique journey. Most importantly, you will have a new way of meeting and experiencing your gifted self and a new way of being in–and with–the world.

Who This Program is For

This course is for gifted and 2e/neurocomplex adults who are actively engaged in their gifted development and are able to participate in a generative way with their peers. It is also of interest to gifted therapists and coaches. Previous mindfulness experience is not required.
This offering is trauma-sensitive, but does not replace psychotherapy or address strategies for traumatic stress. Please contact Kelly or your care provider if you are unsure about your readiness to participate.

Due to the small, relational nature of this course, participants are asked to be present for the duration of each session with their video on.

This course is an uncommon marriage of heart and mind, hypercharged by the gifted lens through which it was so clearly created. It is somehow both simple and sophisticated, having kept my mind engaged without overwhelming it. Kelly's warmth and the mirroring of everyone I sat with helped create a safe environment that, as a person with childhood trauma, I never experienced anywhere else. I finally feel what I once thought was unattainable: that I can move through the world with my mind as a partner and friend, rather than some chaotic curse to suppress and be ashamed of.

Giftedness as a concept is still fairly new to me. I joined the GMC with an openness of mind and a desire to learn and connect. I could not have foreseen the gifts that awaited. Kelly’s warm and inviting nature laid the foundation for a room of unique individuals to share their complexities with trust and grace. The energy of acceptance, understanding, and respect was palpable and healing. I am still reflecting and synthesizing all the lessons and reflections I’ve gathered from this experience that are beyond quantifiable. The mirroring, depth of conversation, and compassion gave rise to a deep sense of belonging. This experience is forever woven within the fabric of my sense of self. I now have referential data for what it feels like to disintegrate and reintegrate into the fullness of the human experience. I extend many blessings of gratitude to this community! More spaces like this are needed in this world!

Having been unidentified for the majority of my life, Kelly's foundations course provided me with my first in-depth understanding of what it means to be gifted. The information and tools she provided have drastically changed how I interact with my environment and how I meet myself and my internal challenges on a daily basis. The structure of the course was fluid and easy to understand, yet satiating and stimulating for the gifted brain. I highly recommend this course for anyone who's yearning for a deeper understanding of their experience as a 2e/gifted adult, or potentially looking for simple, yet effective tools to manage the unique challenges that often accompany giftedness.

There is great comfort and power in learning and practicing with a group of people who, while very diverse, share the gifted experience with you. The need to filter or explain is removed, and you can focus on the practice and the healing it can offer. Kelly is the epitome of serenity, and she appeals to the intellect and the spirit. I have great faith in her guidance and highly recommend this experience as a worthy investment in your development.

Kelly's course was truly engaging in the unique context of spirituality and giftedness. Kelly knows her way in this field and guided the group via practices uncommonly associated with gifted support. I appreciated how the course focused on reconciling body and mind. Kelly is, what's more, a very caring counselor!

Just what I needed - an explanation and deeper understanding of what I am going through on my gifted journey, with practical tools including group meditation with peers and a way to extend my own practice. This course affirms, soothes, opens you up with kindness and encourages your next steps toward acceptance and creativity.

A wonderful introductory course in mindfulness! I'm so glad that I decided to commit to taking the class with Kelly. There is so much out there on mindfulness that you figure you ought to be able to DIY - but as with exercise, it is often more successful being in a group so that you get motivated by other people as well as devoting the time to actually do it. As Kelly emphasizes throughout the course, “mindfulness is in the doing”, and we intellectual types like to read all about it and figure we've got it covered without actually doing it! I’m taking away so much from this course in the way of mindfulness and compassion and now want to go further.

If you are a complex, intense, and sensitive person sometimes perplexed, frustrated, or overwhelmed by reactions and feelings that confound your most logical and/or pragmatic attempts to understand or change - then Kelly's Mindfulness Course is definitely for you. Kelly's grounding in personal experience, delivered with clarity and gentleness, provides a truly warm and empowering space for developing the self-compassion so sorely needed by people like us. The group dynamic allows for much needed mirroring that enriches and emboldens even the most reserved amongst us. It feels good to be known and to get to know ourselves more deeply around others who relate. So if you're ready to take the positive expression of your giftedness to the next level. sign up for one of her Gifted Mindfulness Courses. You will thank yourself!
